About
China Airlines is the largest national carrier of Taiwan which operates more than 1400 flights weekly. It is headquartered in Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, the airline covers a large network of 102 cities across Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania. China Airlines has carried over 19 million passengers in 2017 and has three subsidiary airlines which include China Airlines Cargo, Mandarin Airlines and TigerAir Taiwan.
Alliance
SkyTeam founded in June 2000 has 19 members who collectively carry over 630 million passengers each year reaching over 1150 destinations. SkyTeam alliance and its members have 750 lounges worldwide. Passengers can access privileges based on the status of the member airline's frequent flyer program. SkyTeam has two frequent flyer program tiers which are Elite and Elite Plus are linked with the status of the airline membership programs. As part of the sixth year of operations in 2019, the airline plans to decorate one aircraft from each of its fleets with the special 60th anniversary stickers which resemble 'GO' and the infinity symbol.

Class of Travel
China Airlines provides two classes of travel with 5 configurations;
Business Class
Premium Business Class - China Airline's Premium Business Class allows passengers to seats with direct aisle access with seats in fully flat mode with is equipped with adjustable reading lights, multiple storage bins, AC and USB outlets. The cabin also has an 18-inch touch screen for entertainment. Passengers can also access Sky Lounge which is the self-service gallery bar which offers snacks, instant noodles, drinks and books in -flight
First Class Seats - Although China Airlines has terminated First Class services, seats are marks are Business class in the Boeing 747 aircraft. The 12 flatbed seats are located in Nose sections with personal TV, power outlet and noise cancelling headphones. The cabin crew also offers Turndown Service upon request.
Recliner and angle-flat seats - China Air offers Business class seats with recliner which is also equipped with in-seat power and personal television screens.
Economy Class
Premium Economy Class - China Airlines offers fixed-back seats with touch-screens, USB ports, power outlets, leg-rest and table holders. Passengers of the premium economy class also receive complimentary amenity kits, slipper and inflatable neck-rests.
Economy Class - China Airlines offers comfortable seats with IFE screen with screens for in-flight entertainment. Passengers can pre-book their meal and also enjoy snacks and beverages which can be bought on board.
Baggage allowance
Economy class passengers are allowed 2 items with a total of 12 kgs for carry-on and 1 bag of 23 kgs for checked-in luggage.
Business Class passengers are allowed 2 items with a total of 18 kgs for carry-on and 2 bags with a total of 32 kgs for checked-in luggage.

Frequent Flyer Programme
Dyanasty Flyer is the flyer program of China Airline which offers members access to VIP lounges, an upgradable ticket to various classes and extra baggage allowance.
Greater China Connection is a partnership of Skyteam-members China Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, and Xiamen Airlines which ensures members Dynasty Flyer flying the four airlines can enjoy the no-cost change of flights and matched benefits.
In-flight Services
China Airlines features Sky Lounge, a gallery bar where Premium Business Class passengers can serve themselves coffee, tea, snacks, noodles and alcoholic beverages. The bar also has a social area which has booked selected by Eslite Bookstore. Fantasy Sky is the in-flight entertainment which offers more than 100 movies, shows, songs and games. Fantasy Sky also has Duty free catalogues, E-books, Surveys and Chatrooms. China Airlines Boeing 777-300ER and Airbus A350-900 offer Panasonic Avionics eXConnect Ku band systems and Deutsche Telekom portals for onboard Wi-Fi. The service can be paid for onboard, there is a free service such as weather information and news articles. The system does not permit Phone calls and video chats. Dynasty, Fantasy Sky and Sky Boutique are the three in-flight magazines published by China Airlines which features local and international events, descriptive culture, social introductions, personal interviews, in-flight entertainment instructions. The in-flight entertainment guide, Fantasy Sky provides information on the movies, videos, music, and radio channels and Sky boutique is the duty-free catalogue. China Airlines offers meals from famous Taiwanese restaurants or hotels for Business Class passengers and refreshments are available on all international flights. Pre-flight drinks are served to all Business class passengers. Any special meal can be pre-booked 24 hours prior to departure.
Check-in
Domestic Flights - Passengers can check-in online 24 hrs to 1.5 hrs prior to the scheduled departure time.
International Flights - Passengers can check-in online 24 hrs to 1.5 hrs prior to the scheduled departure time.
Onboard Support
China Airlines provides assistance for passengers with special needs. Wheelchairs, airport assistance during check in are provided by on ground staff. Passengers can choose a service that best suits their need. Expectant mothers and parents of unaccompanied children can read rules and regulations here.
Refund & Cancellation
Passengers can cancel their booking either through China Airlines sales’ offices or website. All cancellations are subject to a cancellation fee.
